Wetherby News

Power, passion and energy were the order of the evening as Kings of Queen took to the stage on Saturday. The band belted their way through the legendary band's hits with some excellent guitar solos, great drumming and bass and great singing. David Kinghorn strutted his stuff Freddie Mercury style, jumping down from the stage to mingle with the audience.
Arms waving in the air, the audience joined on to sing hits including Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are the Champions and Crazy Little Thing Called love.

They do exactly what it says on the tin - but do it with huge enthusiasm, great skill and to wonderful effect. Their commitment and energy is huge ; a great bunch of guys delivering a faultless live performance. The Wetherby Arts Festival crowd was stomping along with them - and our Sponsors were delighted. A great job - well done, guys !! Mel Swales - Artistic Director

Superb again! I took my 17 yr old nephew to see 'A Queen tribute' as he (and has mates)are all new generation of Queen fans. The gig was advertised as 'They will rock you' so only booked this week after his exams, But as soon as I saw and heard Freddie sing I realised it was Kings of Queen (new name or Stable error?) who we all saw at Woodford Halse, nr Daventry, Northampton, about 2 years back. I saw drum kit at 1/2 time with name onto confirm it was you guys. Fantastic show spot-on vocals and music. Wish you could have played another 1/2 hour. You got well deserved standing ovations and that is extremly rare at this venue (my regular haunt) where average age was almost 60! You rock!!
